Ok well if you have a wife like mine. None of this will work.
For a while, I use to be able to get away with storing gear in the basement and bring it ups a month or two later. She would say, "is that new?" and I would say no I've had that for along time. I just moved things around. My wife is a smart cookie so now she takes digital pics of my shack and gear in the basement so last time I tried that, she brought up the time date pics and I was busted. But she's a great gal and usually lets me get what I want.

Cheers,
Robert

This is going to be costly. First the K3 and then the divorce lawyer :O)

There are ways around that. Here are some ideas I read about, a long
time ago:
6) Deny, deny, deny. "That? I've always had that. Got it at the
Podunk Hollow hamfest in 1998. Cost over $700 new, I got a deal for
less than $50. You just never noticed it before."

K1, K2, VX150, FT8800, FT60....

If it works, don't fix it!

Now "Darling, were's that old K3 I put away in the attic in 1982?"
