This may have already been mentioned, but in case it wasn't.... In the K2, there were/are some issues for those of us who wish to operate the radio with their transverters, on CW, in the PTT mode instead of break-in. I think I recall that the problem stemmed from several things competing for time on one of the ICs which control timing of events etc. As it is, if you close the push to talk line, you are not just in TX mode, you are transmitting CW, thereby rendering useless any sequencing you may have in line.
Don, W3FPR, came up with a workaround, which I have been using on VHF/UHF.
