Folks:
I've just completed building a new (#6098) K2 for a friend who will
use it on SSB.
He intends to use the Heil Proset headset (and mic) with the K2.
I recall that my (VERY EARLY vintage!!) K2 was a bit short on mic
gain when not used with a mic which included a preamp, and that I had
to make a couple mods to my KSB2 in order to obtain adequate SSB output.
Those you you who have relatively new K2s, say s/n 5000 and up, is
anyone using the Heil Proset Headphone/boom mic combo on SSB? And do
you have adequate mic gain, or did you have to mod the KSB2 to increase drive?
