Not all will agree - I know many hams who will use nothing other than UHF connectors, and I have heard many others comment that BNC's *must* be changed to SO239 jacks.

While I believe you are correct, I think it would alienate many buyers to have type N connectors. Besides, UHF connectors are good up through 6 meters, and at times even through 2 meters.

When the rest of the world learns that N connectors are easier to install than PL259s, things may change, but for now, much of the ham world believes that PL259s are easier.
