Ian,
Check the voltage, current and polarity of the 811 amplifier PTT
signal and compare those to the rating for the KPA100 maximum
ratings. If the 811 amp requirements fall within the ratings of the
KPA100 amp keying output, then just connect them together and run.
OK, well the amplifier instructions simply state that the phono socket
(on the 811), when earthed by the transceiver, puts the amplifier into
TX mode. The amp does have an ALC socket but I guess I can ignore
that. So my question is, when I key the KPA100 via the K2, will the key
output send a ground to the amp PTT input?
Sorry to sound so thick, I have not dealt with large amps before.

Hi all,
I am looking to connect my K2 via the above amplifier. The FR
connections are obvious, do I simply need to connect the Amp key out
on the back of the KPA100 to the PTT on the 811 or am I missing
something?
