Mate, The radio is a prototype (notice the lack of serial number). Any idea of how many times those fans have been off and then back on the unit?. ;-)
When I build mine I'll line them up using my GPS, which will amaze all my friends and neighbors. ! Tonight's thoughts are about the band changing on the K3. I'm used to the IC756p/OMNI VI+ keypad that supports QSY to any band using one keypress, and to a second different spot in the same band with a second press. For me, thats the CW band on the first press, phone band on the second and the radio always remembers where I was last. The Argo V makes up for the missing keypad by allowing the user to spin the Multi knob through your memories, which you arrange by bands grouped in CW/SSB pairs. But with a premium radio like K3 that actually has a keypad, one would expect the convention to follow. I think the point will be mute for the contesters that always have the computer hooked up to the radio, but most of the time my computer is off to reduce qrn... ============================================ G'day, I assume this is pre production. The alignment of those fans leaves much to be desired. I wouldn't care to show anyone that view.
