And how about the way the K3 will "zero beat" itself! Wayne demo'd that at the Thursday night gathering at FDIM. You push a button to get the tone to match to your side-tone, turn the dial to get the two tones relatively close in frequency, then push the button again and the K3 zero beats itself! I realize this isn't a "I gotta have that" feature, but it's indicative of just how feature rich the K3 is--and more to come. It prompted one guy in the audience to ask if there was anything the K3 couldn't do!

There were lots of ideas thrown out at that demo, and many of them prompted Wayne to indicate it was probably a "can-do" item just with some software revisions. Interestingly though, you could almost read Eric's facial expressions which seemed to say "Hey, let's get this thing into production first, and do these updates later!" The point is though, that unlike the K2, which pretty much has it's capabilities maxed out due to the amount of memory in the firmware, the K3 apparently has a great deal of unused room for upgrades, etc. I expect you will see the features for this radio just grow and grow. It ought to be fun!
