The last two imports to the UK have (wrongly) attracted duty for me. The explanation I was given was that our database cant handle all the digits, so the code number gets truncated and duty levied accordingly. Its devil of a job reclaiming the duty: all the paper work has to be submitted. For the sake of £9 last time I didnt bother, but on the value of a K3 I will have to.
