Very true. With the K3 & SubRX you'll be able to run my software and monitor two bands simultaneously - so while chasing the 'Worked All Programmers' award on 20m you can keep an eye open on 30m / 17m.

Also with some digital software you can enable audible alarms which are triggered when a station call CQ is decoded, so you can leave the software running and it doesn't have to be visible.
