All of 18 years I arrived at the local Post Ofice for my 12wpm test, was ushered into a dusty room where an elderly gentleman with a newspaper under his arm greeted me with the words - We have a problem. The problem was they could not find a morse key!
If I recall correctly one had to use whatever key was provided.
