Folks:
Some of you are probably aware that Don Brown, KD5NDB, vendor of the
really nice solar state charger, had undergone treatment for colon
cancer... that was part of the reason why he was 'off-line' for email
correspondence a while back.
I just received a note from Don last night, indicating that he's had
a reoccurrence of the color cancer, fortunately caught early (several
tumors the size of a pencil eraser), but still requiring Don to
undergo surgery tomorrow (Wednesday, July 11th).
Don says he'll be in the hospital for 7-10 days and then (presumably)
back home to further recover.
So, if you attempt to contact Don via email, please be aware that he
may be a bit slow to respond for a while. ALSO, I'm certain he'd
appreciate receiving some well-wishes from you.

Don also noted that ALL OF THIS might have been avoided, or at least
lessened, had he been more diligent about having a regular
colonoscopy done, as many of us (as 'older' adults) are urged to do.
I'm sure we all wish Don the very best, both with regard to the
results of the surgery AND for a swift recovery.
