I am trying to keep out of the rubbish here but must say I totally agree with you Simon. This shows a real lack of understanding of Elecraft and the way it so successfully works. Carry on guys.

I don't want a manual now, I don't want a dealer, I don't want solder, I don't want any of the whingeing. I am in the first batch and just contented to wait for them to get it right. Haven't a clue about HRT, Low Power, seeing things on displays. Just want the best DXing and contesting radio currently available.

Not only that I am 100% happy to always add my name and callsign to the end of my postings.

Finally, why not get on the band and work something rather continuously posting superfluous messages here!!!!

Ordering directly from the States is less expensive. Compare the prices of http://www.qrp-project.de/ with Elecraft's. Don't forget to adjust for VAT (MwSt) and "import tax" (in DL the same as MwSt).

An european dealer must, AFAIK, due to EU regulations, offer a longer Gewährleistung (~ warranty) than Elecraft and carry all the extra cost and risk this involves.
