I’ve just purchased a soldering station for K2 construction and am wondering if it is properly ESD safe. It is O/C between the tip and the ground pin of the wall plug. However the station does have a grounding terminal on the back, and tip –> terminal measures 1 meg ohm. Will this be ESD safe, assuming I connect the station grounding terminal to the wall socket ground?
