The ATU TUNE would also be great for use with an external amplifier, along with an external high power autotuner (Palstar AT-1K Auto, MFJ-994B/998, LDG AT-1000, etc). The external tuner could apply a "Request low power CW signal output" like the IC-706 (and others) does, and the K3 could respond with the low power (10-20 watt) CW signal, and NOT key the external amplifier during the tune cycle.
