I saw the K3 at HAMCON in Torrance, CA yesterday. It is too bad I am in a savings mode right now, since my job is related to the sub-prime mortgage industry. Otherwise I'd be placing an order. I see the K2 now as filling the niche as a high performance rig you take with you. But the K3 is more of a home rig. That doesn't mean it can't be used at Field Day. But it is definitely a larger rig than the K2. I only wish Eric had a real antenna hooked. He was played a 10 minute loop of RF centered around 14060 kHz off a hard drive. That said, hopefully one day I will set my sights on the K3. It looks like a worthy successor to the K2. 73, Steve N6VL _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
