For my sins, I do a tech support column for a computer magazine and Orange looks to me like one of the worst ISPs in the UK, a far cry from when it was Freeserve. It seems more than likely to me that the problem *is* at the Orange end, but if that is the case other subscribers using this ISP should be experiencing the same problem.
