Senario.... I have a K2/100 and a KAT100. I want to use a KW amp and have hooked up the appropriate connections. I know how to tune an amp properly, but have never used an amp with the K2
So, what is the best procedure when using a K2/100 to do a final tune on the amp or to adjust drive levels?. The K2 does not have a XMIT function on the front panel (it does have a TUNE) button but that is only for a ferw seconds with the KAT100 tuner. If you are using the internal keyer, tere is no "simple" way of producing a carrier with out changing the MENU setting to HAND. When you are running an amplifier do you take the KAT100 out of the MENU and use the TUNE feature to adjust the drive to the amp? What am I missing here? Is it all in the MENU settings? If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense.
