        Probably the 2.7 because it is actually slightly
wider than the 2.8 and has a wider shape factor:

Filter  6 dB BW 6/60 dB Shape Factor

2.7             2.91 kHz                2.9
2.8             2.89 kHz                1.6

        They could all be Inrad.  What you care about is in the data above.

        True, but out-of-band distortion products might also be less.

        I think that's correct.  Stick with the stock 2.7 kHz
save $90 and get a high quality microphone.
