I was cleaning out my parents home the other day and ran across my father's Telex HTW-2A twinset headphones. He was a Pan American Captain flying 727s and 707s at the end of his career. The twinset was the favorite headset because it had good audio and was comfortable for long hauls. But it is a mono headset. I have been using it for CW qsos and it is quite comfortable and seems to work well. However, is there an advantage to using stereo phones for cw work (or for ssb, which I do rarely), assuming you are piping the audio from a single receiver?
