I ran the beacon monitor Faros by VE3NEA for a few weeks and it was quite amazing how often DX beacons were detected even on the higher HF bands even using my modest antenna. I would have loved to be able to have it running 24/7. It was a real eye-opener. But of course, you can't work beacons...
