Several have asked whether they should build a K3 semi-kit or get it factory-assembled. As a field tester, I missed out on the opportunity to build my K3 from scratch but I did have the opportunity to take parts of it apart and put it back together. You learn a lot from building. When I buy a second K3, it will be a kit. They have identical performance to the built units, they assemble easily, they cost less and you learn how they work and how they go together. This makes any future maintenance easier. The assembly manual is excellent. My advice to prospective owners is this - if you are physically able to assemble the semi-kit, go for it.
