Try a Bass Outlet Store in their fishing department and get a Plano storage box. They have dividers that you can adjust, and a lid that is easily completely removed when building and then can be put back on.
Best of all they are quite reasonably priced, about $3.00 to $6.00. Usual disclaimers, no connection, no interest, just like the product.
