I stayed silent for a few days, but feel this has gone far enough.

I don't disagree about them being "an outstanding small, talented company
struggling with a new product launch".

It doesn't make me a baby, cry-baby or whining when I, like a number of
others, voice our impatience.

It does make me frustrated at being given 4 dates that each time have not
been met - no matter what the reason, it is a fact that 4 dates have not
been met.

Yes, I'm impatient and perhaps even a little annoyed.
I'd be far happier if I'd been told at the beginning "it probably wont ship
until Nov, but we will do our best".

This kind of thing is about managing expectation, and I (perhaps naively)
was led to believe I could expect it at the end of July.

It would not have changed my actions, I still would have put in my 50%,
possibly even the 100% I did put in. But I would not have been left
frustrated when it didn't turn up.

I do believe it is a great rig from a great company with great support etc.
and worth the wait - if I didn't, I wouldn't be here now.
I was toying with the idea of a K2 originally but had decided to go for an
FT-2000, mostly because I don't have the time to build and there were more
features in the Ft-2000 (especially for an SSB person struggling to learn
Morse), and frankly, I thought it looked more up to date (yes, I know, don't
judge a book by its cover).

The K3 changed all that and I put the money I would have spent on the
FT-2000 into the K3 - and yes, it was my choice to put 100% in, because of
the good exchange rate. That backfired on me, but that was my fault, not
Elecrafts' (ex rate £1 = $2.08 as of this moment).

Lets not let this difference of opinion grow out of proportion, we are all
entitled to our opinions and I don't have a problem with people voicing
theirs', as long as that doesn't degenerate to name calling etc.
