So many postings about K3s these days that I just had to weigh in and say there 
are still KX-1's happily piping RF into the ether (yeah, I know, no such thing 
as the ether, but it's fun to pretend it's there).

Drove from NC up to No VA this weekend to help prep son's house for the 
grandchild due next month. That didn't leave much time for things radio, but I 
did toss a line over a tree branch and strung up my 51 ft wire as a sloper, 
with another 51 ft on the ground for a counterpoise, and worked the Sweepstakes 
for a couple of hours Sunday PM with good ole #608. Netted 25 Qs on 20 and 40. 
20M dx included TX, AZ, MN and 40 M included MI, IN, IL, VT, MA, ME, CT...
Wish I'd had more time.
