At the present time it appears the most interest in the K3 pertains to when and how many of them leave Aptos. ;-) Eric and Wayne are so coy. Cometitive information. !!! My own view (for what it's worth not much) is that K3 has no competitors for price or performance and supplies are greatly limited. I will likely be this way for some time to come. Indeed the Mini-Cooper of HF transceivers.
