Hi gang! I am trying to understand what my best choice of CW filters in the K3 would be. Most of the time I am on topband, but I also chase DX around all bands. I plan to do a little contesting, but it is not my primary interest. I have an order for a 400hz 8-pole filter, but I am considering changing this order to the 5-pole 500/200hz combination. What difference should I expect in performance between the 8-pole 400hz filter and the 5-pole 500hz filter and is the 8-pole filter worth the extra investment?
If in my situation, what would you prefer?
