The K1 doesn't require much. I have a little 3A 13.8V power supply from Radio Shack that has both terminals and a cigarette lighter jack that I can use for the K1 and a variety of other devices that I normally run in the car. I made my K1 power cable with a cigarette lighter plug so I can power it from the car or the power supply.
