I assume there will be standoffs to install, so the top and bottom covers will have to be removed. Based on where the KRX3 sits, you might have to remove the stiffener that runs across the top. Not sure about that.
The benefit of waiting would be that it could be installed before the top/bottom covers are put on in the first place. On the other hand, there's not much work required to remove the covers. I personally wouldn't wait. I built my K3 when I received it, and have a KRX3 on order.
