Klaus,

One approach would be to change the transverter's LO frequency to 406 MHz. which would give you 434 - 436 MHz coverage with an IF of 28 - 30 MHz, assuming that the K3 tunes to 30 MHz. Due to moving my shack I have not been able to look at the transverter's schematic today nor check whether there would be any spurious problems, but if you would like to discuss this further please contact me off-list.
