Hi Toby I too run around troubles with USB to serial converters. The only one I had to use was a "Prolific" one and using it with XP Pro it was in place as it shoulld, but impossible to make any use with MixW. As I had to change my mother bord the one I got sitll had one Comm port and I had to make an adaptation to use it for CAT control and keying of my K2. I did that wit one female and two male DB9 plugs, and I got full control of the K2 with either MixW or HRD software.
