Mike,

If you get stuck and have to use USPS + Parcel Force, if Elecraft sends you the shipment tracking number separately it becomes possible to speed up the process. After the shipment has cleared UK Customs and has been collected ( according to USPS), you can then find out which Parcel Force depot will be making the delivery to you, and the depot's 'phone number, from their website. You can pay any charges owing over the 'phone using a Bank or Credit card, and be told the date of delivery to you, without having to wait for a letter from Parcel Force. They will still send you a letter which will arrive after you receive the shipment, scrap! They do require you to sign for the shipment on delivery as you point out.

That is how the Parcel Force depot in this area works. They also give the time of delivery as AM or PM, which is slightly better than 'sometime'.

Subject: [Elecraft] K2 Transverter interface

Does anyone have a spare transverter interface KXV60?

The background to this is that I was thinking of buying one via Elecraft,
but unfortunately the the shipping is only $25, the least worst option is US
Postal service, which to the UK means delivery by the dreadful Parcelforce*.
That will add another $16 to the cost, so $139 for a $89 item, plus of
course 17.5% VAT added to the total. That is nearly double what it would
cost in the US.
