Simple - it is illegal. You cannot use a HF ham
rig to work in the marine bands, to work in the
CB bands. Perhaps the FCC isn't watching all the
time, but they can be directed to do so. It would
be just illegal, for anyone to try to use a K3
or any FCC certified amateur HF rig to attempt to
transmit in these frequency regions. That is sort
of Amateur Radio 101.
