To begin with Elecraft published all the specs of the K3 and has put some into the amateur community to be evaluated. DZ may make their specs available, but I have not seen them and don't know where to look. This is the first time that I have heard of the DZ kit.
The K3 kit seems to be more complete with the boards pre-assembled and alligned. The price of the basic EZ is about the same as the K3 fleshed out with a reasonable amount of accessories. I ordered a 100 watt K3 with antenna tuner, second receiver, a cw filter, a microphone, a recorder and a headset for about the same price as the basic EZ. I have made my commitment to a K3 and am not tempted to change my mind with what I can see of the EZ.
