I think I understand just what you are referring to. My Orion II is that
way also. But the K3 comes up very quickly. It's just 2 or 3 seconds at
the most before everything is displayed. The Orion takes 2 or 3 times that
long.

I noticed that several of the other highly computerized radios on the

have a substantial time delay after power on before the radio is fully

please let me know how long before their radio display settles down and
