160 meters has been good for contacts from Oregon to Hawaii or the Atlantic
coast recently. I'm using a 100-foot Inverted L working against ground.

Yes, the bands are a little challenging these days but one can work across
the US and into other countries by trying different times and bands. High
power and fancy antennas are nice but not necessary to complete a contact.
