However ...... 98% of the people I have heard say Elecraft pronounce it
Lcraft.
And 1% are undecided.
The other 1% are on the Elecraft reflectors.

Not silly at all - I am certain the folks at Elecraft want everyone to 
get it right :-) .
It is pronounced "Ele" (an in Elegant - soft 2nd 'e') followed by "craft".
