I respectfully disagree. A good current balun or a balanced tuner will cure any common mode noise that may be present on the feedline.

Of course the real 'secret' is to run the feedline away from the antenna at a 90 degree angle and support the feedline away from conducting surfaces - if done properly, common mode pickup will not be a problem.
