At one time, or more accurately, for one release, there was an email
to a specific K3 owners distribution list. (It was a distribution
and notification list, from Elecraft only, not a list for
discussion.) Most other times, Eric made an announcement on this
list. There is an option in the downloader software to check every 6
hours. I don't think that is practical for everyone, but I think
that the owner's list notification should be reinstated. Mailing to
the entire Elecraft list is fine, but it interrupts discussions of
the latest serial numbers delivered.
