Further to my previous mail, I have also noticed the same effect on 40m when I switch one of my Pennants in the direction of the main antenna. The SWR goes up and up until things become unstable. This is more serious than on 20m as I need the loops on 40.
Maybe I have to put in extra switching to disconnect the RX antenna pre-amp on transmit. That would be a pain if it has to use a relay.
