Wow, this is some kit! The build and calibration up to a 10W transceiver have been completed succesfully. A brilliantly conceived and executed kit for such a complex transceiver and the fit and finish are truly excellent! No missing parts or other issues. Only real difficulty, was fitting the front panel to the front panel PCB, (this was not due to the mic. socket clearance issue which has been corrected) but due to a very slight misalignment of the small green rectangular LED/s not quite matching the panel cut outs. Problem solved and panel now fits perfectly.
It takes some time to become accustomed to the menu entry procedures for calibration and set up, but RTFM, solves that. This receiver is truly awesome! Signal handling, filtering and DSP are beyond expectations, actually hard to believe it's this good! I'm finding it very difficult to stop listening around the bands and get back to the final building phase of installing the 100 PA module...but I will, soon...maybe :) Congratulations and a big thanks to Wayne, Eric, Lyle and all the other engineers and tech support staff, (sorry don't know you all) for bringing this fantastic transceiver to fruition. 73, es tu Deni F5VJC ----- 73, Deni F5VJC K2 1188 K3 325 For a Ham Radio friendly holiday in France...
