Hi Richard! Yes it seems that there is some problem here. It appears to be very much alike the problems that I experienced after completing Part II of the K2-project. Check that D29 and D34 (near the xtal filter) are soldered in the right direction. Also check for correct values of the capacitors in the 40 meter bandpass and lowpass filters (I made a mistake there in my recent K2), as well as for bad solder joints. There is a small capacitor (C6, i think) which is supposed to be soldered between the two outer pins in the three pin connector J15 (back left on the RF board seen from the component side). If C6 is missing or soldered between the middle pin and one of the outer pins there will be no signal.
