Note what Don Wilhelm W3FPR is telling you about the SSB performance of the K2, it is excellent in my opinion. I use SSB exclusivley primarily to work DX and almost always get the DX station on my first call, so something must be right with the audio in the K2. Do as he suggests, properly set up the filters and use an MH2 or MD2 microphone, I use the later. The 100 watt KPA100 of course helps too. Go for it!
