The review you posted on eHam suggests that your K3 is not performing
properly in transmit mode. (Thanks for your comments on its receiver
performance.)
A measured -24 dBc 3rd-order transmit IMD product on 20 meters is far
worse than we've found in our QA tests. We're planning to post our IMD
plots, measured at 100 W, for comparison. We'll send the link to the
reflector when these are ready.
We depend on direct feedback from customers when anything appears to be
working incorrectly -- especially with a new product. But since you
posted anonymously, we have no way to contact you. If you'll e-mail us
privately ([EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED]), we can start the
process of either replacing a problematic module, or looking deeper
into your concerns. You appear to have technical expertise and
equipment well beyond the average customer. We'd prefer to enlist you
in making changes and improvements rather than be left hanging with an
unsatisfied mystery customer.
None of the issues you mentioned with transmit voice quality are
representative of what we've measured, and many other customers have
raved about their SSB signal reports. But either way, this is entirely
a function of digital signal processing. The algorithms can easily be
modified if evidence warrants it, and we're committed to making ongoing
improvements.
