Actually, there are a lot of choices of microphones for the K3.
Elecraft has the MH2 available and it works well.
If you like a headset type, the Elecraft Proset-K2 works great.
Most of the Kenwood dynamic microphones will work FB.
The TenTec 701 microphone works well, but you need to change the plug
from the 4 pin to an 8 pin.
Most of the Heil microphones with a Kenwood adapter will work nicely
with the K3.
The Heil Proset will plug directly into the rear panel jacks with no
adapter required.
Many hams are happy with a microphone containing the Heil HC-4 element
for DX. but since the K3 contains TX EQ, you should be able to tailor
the response most any way you want it using most any microphone.
