Hi,

a search of the mail list archives, FAQ and manual did not provide a definitive, authoritative answer, and after the one or more diodes in the TX/RX switch in the 500W 144MHz PA at our Munich club station died during the contest last weekend, I need to ask...

1) What is the timing from PTT IN going to low (e.g. foot switch connected directly to the PTT input jack) and KEY OUT going to low? Maximum? Minimum? Typical?

2) What is the timing from VOX triggering (CW and SSB) and KEY OUT going to low? Maximum? Minimum? Typical?

3) What is the timing from KEY OUT going to low and RF appearing at the "standard" antenna jacks? Maximum? Minimum? Typical?

4) What is the timing from KEY OUT going to low and RF appearing at the transverter XVTR OUT jack? Maximum? Minimum? Typical?

5) Are there any differences of the above based on mode, i.e. CW, SSB, AM, FM or DATA modes?

Yes, I do know that a variable delay is in the planning and has not been implemented yet.

Also with my Tokyo Hy-Power HL-2KFX, as well as an Alpha PA at the BCC contest QTH, no hot keying problems have been observed, but the fact that the 2m PA died may be an indication of a timing problem.
