I used that feature this morning and it seemed to work fine for me. I was on 30M RTTY split and VFO B was on some other mode. I didn't realize it and when I went to transmit, it didn't transmit in RTTY. I hit A>B, readjusted the VFO B freq with the middle knob and all was fine.
