One suggestion that occurs to me (which you may already have thought of) is have you incorporated two preset levels of FM deviation, for HF and VHF? I used to find that HF rigs transverted to VHF have weak modulation because the deviation level used on HF is lower than on VHF. It's probably less of a problem now that 12.5kHz spacing is used on VHF but when 25kHz spacing was used, with comparably wider filters, the difference was noticeable when compared to dedicated 2m rigs. ----- Julian, G4ILO K3 s/n: 222 K2 s/n: 392 G4ILO's Shack: www.g4ilo.com Zerobeat Ham Forums: www.zerobeat.net/smf -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/K3%3A--FM-testing-going-well-tp16060136p16066282.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
