Assuming we're talking KPA3 then its still physically there, so it will have some drain, but its minimal if not being used to Tx.

As for posting, looked like you had it about right, only thing I would suggest is include some text in the subject line to indicate the rig you're mailing about - like putting K3 or even better [K3] at the front of the subject line.
