Well, for instance, if VFO A in the 40 meter band had a 60 meter frequency
and VFO B had a 40 meter frequency, I would press the A/B button to swap
the VFO's. At this point VFO A now contains a 40 meter frequency and VFO B
would have a 60 meter frequency. I would then press A>B to load VFO B with
VFO A's 40 meter frequency. Now both VFOs will have 40 meter frequencies
loaded.
Come to think of it, I also saw mismatched VFOs in the 30 meter band too
after updating the F/M code. I don't recall if I see this every time I
update the code or if it sometimes works okay. I will have to pay better
attention I guess.

Would you mind expanding on the below - in what way are you adjusting the
Bands to VFO? I assume this is some configuration procedure, but I can't
figure out which one.

I really don't understand the conditions that caused this but I can say
that from time to time after installing new F/M code in s/n 148 I have
had to manually go through the sequence of bands and adjust them so that
both VFO's for all bands are indeed in the proper band. This usually
manifests itself in the 40 and 60 meter bands, Typically the 60 meter
band will have a 40 meter frequency in VFO A and a 60 meter frequency in
VFO B. The opposite will be true in the 40 meter band.
