Saving $4000 as compared to IC-7800, I'd also buy the accessory monkey to spin/stop that gigantic knob. Accessory chimp comes with a free Icom "Expanding your World" tee-shirt and a box of Icom branded accessory pampers. It is rumored that Adam VA7OJ http://www.ab4oj.com/ raises and trains each one of these little fellows personally - to operate the entire transceiver and to optionally grab the beverage of the operator's choice from a cooler upon a simple gesture. To make full use of this accessory, be sure to order the little fellow his own pro-set. The simmian comes pre-named and the first 10 were named after VA7OJ's fine dog "0rion" which can be admittedly confusing for owners of the Ten tec gear. ;-) ;-) ;-) _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
